Address the Texas Apartment Association as if you were a member of your local chapter, it includes MEMBERSHIP in TAA and they offer access to Blue Moon Forms that allow you to use ONLINE TAR-2001 form, then a few. Highly recommended, especially if you don`t use a home management company. If you look at leases, I recommend taa for TAR leasing contracts. As a landlord, TAA`s lease agreements are designed to protect the landlord and articulate the tenant`s obligations very clearly. When I read the TAR rental agreement, it seems very thorough and I like the content. In the worst case, if I can`t use this lease as a non-broker, and if I changed it all to my own format. Even if I maintained a lot of identical formulations, would it be legal? I am in the process of examining the tenants of my first building. I asked my broker if he had a copy of a lease agreement that I could refer to or use, and he sent me a copy of form TAR-2001. From what I have read, only real estate agents have the right to use this lease. I am not a broker, but if my agent is involved in the leasing process, I could use this lease? Should my agent “co-sign” the lease in some way to validate it, since I am not a broker? The TAR rental agreement is protected by copyright and the only persons authorized to use it are members of the TAR. To my knowledge, you can delete section 33-g, anything that has been transcribed or removed from a contract or lease would take precedence as long as you announce that this section is deleted and you have signatures/intials on the lease. By deleting this section alone, the lease can be concluded without being a member of realtor`s board of directors.

My real estate agent gave me the lease and he is willing to do it if ever questions arise, so it looks like I`m conscious. I just signed up for the TAA and the rental contracts seem to be formulated for the apartments. Am I missing something or do they have versions for detached houses? I am a home manager and I guarantee that no lawyer will tell you to remove sections of the TAR rental agreement and use them as your own. At the top of the TAR lease agreement, it is very clear that only members of the Texas Association of Realtors have the right to use it. Below is the copyright. Do unauthorized persons use the TAR rental agreement? All the time. Is it likely that they will get caught? Probably not. Is it legal and/or ethical? That`s not true.
And if I see one, I`ll let you know that you`re $1 for ART. I spend a lot of money to be a member of ART, and I don`t want anyone to use an ART benefit, improperly.@Eric Lee I take my hat off to you because you`re trying to do the right thing. Your broker has given you the lease, and he/she has the right to use it. If your broker granted you the lease as an agent, I wouldn`t worry too much. If this worries you, there are websites that sell state-specific leasing forms. I know there are several in the BP market. You can check there to buy a lease.
